Annotation. This article examines the role and effectiveness of modern
technologies in teaching reading skills in foreign language education. With the rapid development of digital technologies, reading instruction has become more interactive, accessible, and learner centered. The paper explores the advantages and challenges of technology-based reading instruction, its impact on students’ reading comprehension, vocabulary development, and critical thinking skills. It also discussesthe role of teachers and educational institutions in integrating technological tools into reading lessons. The study highlights key factors such as digital literacy, learner engagement, multimedia resources, and online learning platforms. In general, the article argues that modern technologies can significantly improve reading instruction when supported by effective teaching strategies and appropriate educational technologies.
